Reykjavik, Iceland

Iceland was a dream!

We arrived in our final country, Iceland! It was a total dream. I absolutely loved every part of it. I had no clue what to expect out of Iceland, but it definitely exceeded all expectations.

Right when we arrived in Iceland, we loaded up in the three vans that we would travel throughout the whole country in and headed to Blue Lagoon. Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa and one of the most visited attraction in Iceland. The spa is located in a lava field, in southwestern Iceland. After a long day of traveling, we all soaked in the water, did mud masks, and relaxed in some saunas. It was amazing and so relaxing.

Our next day in Iceland, we had a business visit at Gateway to Iceland, which is an excursion company. They took us through a guided tour in an underground cave. It was awesome to explore throughout the cave. This was definitely one of my highlights while we were in Iceland. After our hike through the underground cave, Rachel, Mikyla, and I explored the city of Reykjavik to find a laundromat. This was an adventure in itself. The laundromat was located in a coffee shop and out of all the washing machines and dryers, only one of each was working. So we had to spend extra time there, but we made the best of it. We played games and ordered some hot chocolate from the cafe above the laundromat. Reykjavik, Iceland was such a cute little city, I absolutely loved staying there!

Oxford & Stratford-Upon-Avon, England

In the morning we all hopped on the bus and left for a little outer London tour.  The first place we went to was Stonehenge. It was so amazing to be able to visit one of the 7 Wonder of the World.  I was so excited to see Stonehenge. It is a beautiful place to see and learn more about it.

Once we left Stonehenge we stopped by Oxford. So naturally I had to buy an Oxford crew neck sweatshirt. After this purchase, I wore it all the time in Iceland. It was such a great shopping decision.

After Oxford, we went to a business visit at the Conventry Cathedral.  It was an awesome experience because we were able to learn about how they use this venue as both a religious and commercial venue.  I loved being able to walk around the cathedral and look at all the interesting old architecture.

Once we were done at the cathedral, we arrived at where we were staying for the night.  It was the cutest little bed and breakfasts in Stratford-Upon-Avon.  The name of this bed and breakfast was Ambleside.  Peter and Ruth, the owners of this bed and breakfast, were the sweetest couple ever and went way out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

The next day we went to Warwick Castle. This was an interesting experience, because I felt that it was more aimed towards a younger age group. But nonetheless, it was still so much fun to explore the castle! And then after we were done being adventurous, Carly, Rachel, and I found a nice little patch of grass that was perfect to take a nap on. Seriously, naps are amazing. Especially when you are just constantly on the go, it is nice to just relax for a bit. I absolutely loved how quaint Stratford-Upon-Avon was, I would definitely go back just to stay at the bed and breakfast and visit Peter and Ruth again!
